This self catering cottage is situated at one of the best spots in Nieu Bethesda, overlooking open spaces and beautiful mountain views, garden view and forest view in a relaxed country atmosphere, tranquil and peaceful, good for the hearth and soul. A perfect base to rest a while in our beautiful valley, just 2 minutes walk to the famous Owl House and the centre of the village with all his attractions. The cottage is fully equipped and tastfully furnished. In the kitchen you find a fridge with freezer compartment, 2 plate stove, bread-toaster, microwave, coffee and tea facilities and all the needs to make breakfast, lunch or a small meal. In the cottage is 1 kingsize bed with electric blankets, 2 wall heaters for in the winter and 1 fan. On request we can make 2 single beds in the room.The cottage has a large private veranda with braai facilities. On special request we can make breakfast for you. Only from 15 October til 1 May. Facilities comprices one luxurious specious double en-suite bedroom equipped with coffee/tea facilities. This room is part of the main house just near the cottage. The room has a private entrance and private veranda with beautiful mountain views. Tastfully furnished with South African antiques.   
AttractionsVisit the Owl House museum and the Fossil museum, Do a guided fossil walk treu the river. Go with Jacob for a Donkey cart ride, or visit Ganora farm for the Busmanpaintings. Go for a guided walk with Elsie. Hire a bicycle by the Outsiders to explore the surroundings. Visit the Art centre and other art & craft, gifts & craft shops, and art exhibitions and Old Bookshop. Visit the Brewery & the 2 Goat Deli to tast the local beer and cheese. (very special) Visit the local Pub & Grub "The Waenhouse" Have coffee "with fresh home made cakes in one of the coffee shops "The Village Inn" Go to the cemetery with his old graves. Climb the famous Compasberg. Valley of desolation 55 km (Graaff Reinet) Mountain Zebrapark 130 km (Craddock)

In Nieu Bethesda take first street to the left, in front of the Owl House go up the road over the river on the end turn to the right drive around the corner you see Rustpunt.
From Middelburg take the N9 to Graaff Reinet. Take the turn of to the Owl Route
(dirt road about 25 km).
Drive straight on in Nieu Bethesda to the T junction, go to the right, on the end of the street to the left in front of the Owl House go up over the river, on the end to the right drive around the corner you see Rustpunt.
