The Dunes is an exclusive family owned retreat set in the picturesque St Francis Bay Village in the Eastern Cape. The 4-star country house is perfectly positioned at the start of the garden route, and offers guests a wide variety of activities.

The Dunes is known for its delectable food and friendly service. Full English breakfasts are served daily in the main dining room or on the outside patios, weather permitting. Light lunches and picnic hampers can be requested and a 3-course dinner is available by arrangement.

For the more active, guided walks into our adjoining coastal reserve, Thula Moya, where a mecca of flora and fauna abides. The reserve, with its numerous water holes and hides, allows nature enthusiasts to take in the birdlife and wildlife uninterrupted.

From Port Elizabeth Airport: Travel west on the N2 towards Humansdorp. Exit Humansdorp and follow the signs to St Francis Bay. Continue to The Dunes signboard and travel 1.5 km along the gravel road to the Guesthouse.
