Location: South Africa » Eastern Cape » Humansdorp

Humansdorp, approximately 87 km from Port Elizabeth, is situated at the foot of the Kouga Mountains (2 km off the N2). It is the gateway to the magnificent Garden Route and the entrance to the lovely shores of St Francis Bay. The town lies at the eastern end of the fynbos region and apart from Namaqualand and the Western Cape, nowhere else in the fynbos as exquisite as it is in the Humansdorp and Kouga regions. More than 2000 species have been recorded in this area and the annual Fynbos Festival is very popular with flower lovers.
